Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is a real pleasure for the Cypriot Surgical Society and the General Surgery Department of the Medical School of the University of Cyprus to announce the organization of the: “1st CYPRIOT SYMPOSIUM on Gastrointestinal Cancers, Colorectal Cancer”.

The rapid development of the surgical sciences and technology dictate the continuous education of every surgeon.

The aim of the 1st CYPRIOT SYMPOSIUM on Gastrointestinal Cancers, Colorectal Cancer is to discuss the current state of the art management of colorectal cancer, to exchange experience and opinions and to draw useful conclusions for a sole cause: the delivery of safe and updated medical care.

Experts from the whole spectrum of the Multi-disciplinary team (surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, medical and radiation oncologists) will transfer the up-to-date knowledge and experience through lectures, round tables and consultants’ corners. This will give the opportunity for fruitful discussions on all the aspects of the current colorectal cancer surgery.
